Trailers and semitrailers' frame construction of “Tverstroymash” has been developed concerning profound knowledge of tough condition of machinery exploitation in Russia, based on years of transportation process research. Manufacturing frames, we used only modern domestic and European high-strength steel.
Our engineers are always seeking to comply with a reasonable balance between the lightness of frame construction and its durability and reliability.
Since November 2007, frame welding is carried out only with the use of welding mixtures based on argon. The result of this innovation became the improvement of the quality of welds and productivity. All the details of the frame and other metal structures are subjected to bead-blasting treatment before painting. Such surface preparation before painting is
necessary and sufficient and is used in the manufacturing of modern commercial vehicles. Bead-blasting treatment results in degreasing, removing rust and scale, improving adhesion of metal coated surface.
Painting of “Tverstroymash” trailers and semi-trailers is held with the use of airless spray painting and special drying chambers with the paint materials produced in Finland specially designed for commercial vehicles. Individual parts and structural components are zinc-galvanized. Galvanizing is carried out to ensure 100% performance of sites subject to friction, extending durability of sites, improving the aesthetic properties.

Suspension

Trailers and semi-trailers can have both mechanical which is usual for Russia and air suspension. Air suspension provides stability of loaded trailer or semi-trailer, even with top-heavy cargo, a uniform load on the axle and the possibility to increase the clearance at difficult route sections. Air suspension is a necessary issue for performing a responsible transportation of fragile and sensitive to dynamic impact loads.

Axis

Axial machines from leading manufacturers provide trailers and semi-trailers "Tverstroymash" with the necessary capacity and high reliability of the chassis. Besides, their usage is economically sound, as under keeping of service rules it reduces the cost of the carrier for maintenance. The use of rotary axes and rotation systems can significantly increase the maneuverability of a trailer or semi-trailer, which is very important, for example, when driving around town or in mountainous terrain.

Coupling pin

Coupling pin is a critical component of semi-trailer design used to create a drawbar combination of semi-trailer and streamlined semi-trailer. Depending on capacity and semi-trailer type truck, German-made pins of 2,0 and 3,5 inch diameter, and in some cases, custom made pin of larger diameter are used.

Landing gear

Landing gear is intended to hold a semi-trailer in a horizontal position, allows a minimal effort to lift the front of the loaded semi-trailer, quickly hitch the trailer to the towing vehicle. "Tverstroymash" semi-trailers are equipped with mechanical telescopic type landing gear of well-known European manufacturers JOST or Haacon.

Tires and wheels

Tire selection is a very important point when buying a vehicle, since carrier cost savings in fuel and maintenance depends on the correct choice of tires. The basic package of “Tverstroymash" trailers and semi-trailers includes tubeless tires KORMORAN (MICHELIN) completed with imported wheels. This set is tested by time itself. Nevertheless, at customer’s option, semi-trailer or trailer can be supplied with quality tires of any other manufacturer.

Braking system

The braking system of “Tverstroymash” trailers and semi-trailers consists of operational shoe brakes on all wheels with tractor pneumatic actuator complying with GOST 4363 and stopping brake with power transmission or spring brake. The basic units of the brake system are developed by Wabco (Germany).

ABS and EBS
|

When it comes to vehicles, safety is the most important issue, especially the safety of the braking system. ABS system makes driving secure and gives the driver confidence in control over the truck unit. Wheels of the trailer are not blocked under braking, making it easy to change the trajectory of movement even on the ice; the braking distance is significantly reduced, as the braking torque is implemented to the maximum. The use of ABS also has economic advantage – that is significant reduction in tire wear. ABS system was developed and continued in the electronic braking system - EBS, which in addition to standard ABS features has such important and useful functions as:
- system of trailer stability maintenance is indispensable for transportation of high-loaded expensive dangerous goods;
- constant monitoring of pressure in the brake system of the trailer;
- the function of emergency braking with ABS and RTAs;
- the ability to connect peripheral systems, monitoring tire pressure, control of the brake lining wear, GPS;
- record the parameters of operation of the trailer, with the possibility of further analysis (black box).
Thus, the use of ABS and EBS systems today is the absolute standard in trailers and semi-trailers design and operation, and brings economic benefits way higher than the cost of these systems. All standard "Tverstroymash" trailers and semi-trailers are equipped with ABS or EBS, depending on the model.

Electric equipment

Lighting fixtures of the vehicle must be reliable and meet accepted standards. “Tverstroymash” trailers and semi-trailers electrical equipment fully meets these requirements. Operating voltage - 24V, the number and location of the devices according to GOST 8769. At customer’s request electrical equipment with12V voltage may be installed to trailers and semi-trailers.

Deck wideners

Carriers know how important it is that the size of the vehicle was within the permitted size. However, low heavy-load semi-trailer or trailers are designed specifically for the transportation of heavy and oversized cargo . Deck wideners can become a very convenient technical solution. At customer’s option, “Tverstroymash” semitrailer can be equipped with retractable galvanized deck wideners that will allow to go in unloaded trailer or semi-trailer without granting road, and while transporting oversized cargo – to increase the width of the loading deck to 3,0 meters and more. The presence of wideners makes it especially convenient and safe to ride and accommodate large equipment on a heavy-load semi-trailer or trailer.

Loading Ramp

Loading ramp or access board are used for check-in of wheeled and tracked vehicles to the trailer or semi-trailer. Recessable one-fold mechanical ramps, as well as one- and two-fold ramps with hydraulic lifting mechanism create an angle of entry into the platform from 6 to 30 °, depending on the trailer/semi-trailer model and type of ramp. Ramp mechanism can fold and unfold them along the axle, so you can load the trailer / semi-trailer with machinery with virtually any wheel track. Ramps placed on the cargo platform and creating a direct site with it, have gained much popularity. The new offer from “Tverstroymash” – bolt-on ramps made of light alloy, which are especially popular amongst professional carriers, since their use entails a reduction in trailer / semi-trailer weight and a reduction in fuel costs.

Dog Blocks And Landing Legs

Protecting dog blocks and lending legs preventing side displacement technology hinder the mobility of goods in transit. With these devices and using the lifting point any cargo can be fixed on the platform of a heavy-duty semi-trailer.

Tent

Sometimes carriers use a tent to cover equipment or other goods which are particularly expensive. Standard models of "Tverstroymash" semi-trailers can be ret-fit hinged section tent.

Hydraulic Power Unit

The installation of hydraulic unit makes it possible to drive the ramps with hydraulic mechanism autonomously, i.e. without the use of trucks, so there is no need to hydraulify the truck or adjust semi-trailer and any particular truck in the park as well. The hydraulic unit is always set on "Tverstroymash" semi-trailers with a system of compulsory axes rotation, and is the heart of this system.

Winch

Electric and hydraulic winches help in loading of road construction equipment to a trailer or semi-trailer. Winch drawbar power ranges from 5 to 12 tons.
